Law, Policy and the Public Purse

Focus and Scope

Constitutional and administrative law, legislation and legal drafting, public governance, public policy and public administration, state and local government finance, fiscal policy and budgeting, regional economics.

The journal welcomes submissions from researchers in all countries. Its particular interest lies in work relevant to Indonesia, Southeast Asia and other developing regions, including comparative studies.

Journal History

Established in 2025 as the Journal of Public Policy and Development Planning, renamed Journal of Public Policy and Public Finance in 2026 to reflect its fiscal focus. On 30 August 2026 the scope of the Journal of Constitutional Law and Public Governance (JCLG) was merged into this journal and the title became the Journal of Law, Public Policy and Public Finance (JLPF). The merger unites three closely related fields: law creates policy, policy is funded by public finance. All editorial standards, the double-blind review process and the publication ethics of both journals continue unchanged, and JCLG's article types (Case Note, Legislative Review) are retained here.
